About the game

Meteor Dodge is an action and reflex game you can play in the browser. You pilot a small ship at the bottom of the screen while meteors of different sizes fall from above, and the goal is simple: survive as long as you can without getting hit.

There are no shots and no extra lives. The ship only moves sideways, and a single hit ends the run. As seconds go by the meteors fall faster and in greater numbers, and your result is how long you lasted. If you would rather shoot the rocks than run from them, try Asteroids.

How to play

1. Move the mouse sideways: the ship follows the pointer's horizontal position.
2. If you prefer the keyboard, use the left and right arrow keys to move the ship.
3. Dodge every meteor. Any contact ends the run.
4. The timer in the corner shows how long you have been alive. When you lose, your result is the number of whole seconds you survived.

Game modes

• 1 player. One player, endless: the run only ends when a meteor hits the ship, and your result is the time survived in seconds.

Tips

• Large meteors take up a lot of screen width. Keep an eye on the gaps between them instead of watching only the closest rock.
• Once you start using the mouse, the game follows the pointer and ignores the arrow keys. Pick one control and stick with it for the run.
• The pace speeds up gradually, so use the opening seconds to get used to the ship's distance before the rain gets dense.
